Some of my friends have been lost in the past and they tell me how important it is to have an ID tag! Many were spared the horror of the dog pound because of it.....and that is good enough for me! The ID tag can be engraved with information needed to contact your quickly such as a mobile telephone number and address. In the UK under the "Control of dogs order 1992" it is illegal for most dogs in a public place to be without a dog collar identifying the name and address of the owner. The owner can be fined up to £5,000 if the law is broken.
