FLEECE FERRET HAMMOCKS

If you own a ferret, you know that they love to play and relax, and there is no better place for them to do so than in a fleece hammock. Ferrets are lovable animals that come in many different breeds, and get along great with children and other pets. They also adore the company of other ferrets, and a hammock provides a comfortable place for several of them to nap and lounge around in. My ferret's hammock is now the only place that he will sleep.

A fleece hammock is a must have accessory for any ferret's home, and the installation of one could not be any easier. They come equipped with 4 clips that easily attach to the top of their cage. These clips are at the end of straps that connect to each corner of the hammock. The hammock itself is usually made of fleece, cotton or soft cotton webbing. In my experiences, I have found that my ferrets love the fleece more so than the cotton, or cotton webbing. Your ferret will become accustomed to its new hammock rather quickly, but it is a good idea to place some extra bedding underneath it so it can easily climb in and out of it.

Ferrets spend approximately 14 - 18 hours of their day sleeping, so a comfortable place for them to sleep is definitely important. When your ferret is not sleeping though, it will be very active. They love being released from their cage, and when they are out they love to express their inherent curious nature while getting plenty of exercise. Their exercise will primarily consist of hide and seek type of games, in which the ferret and owner attempt to find each other.

Ferrets also have a very strong nesting instinct which means that they bring small items and pieces of food into their hiding spots. It is not uncommon for a ferret to "steal" the same item repeatedly, so don't be surprised if something keeps going missing, its just playing! They do this because of the attachment they commonly form to certain objects.

After all this exercising it is not hard to see why a fleece hammock will become your ferret's new best friend. It will be crawling into it after a long day of playing, and will be well rested for another day of playing when it wakes up without a doubt.
